HOW MANY KITS WILL I NEED FOR MY COMPANY?
If you have a one-location business, then of course you’ll need only one Kit. If you have a business with a central location and several outlying plants, one Kit should work fine.
If you have two business similar to the ones described above, then we recommend that you get two Kits if you plan to implement in parallel or on an overlapped basis. If the implementations will happen one after another, you should be able to get by with only one Kit.
For other larger, more complex situations, we recommend the Enterprise License.
That takes all guess work out of answering the how-many question.
CAN WE DUPLICATE THE DVDs IN THE KIT?
Duplicating the DVDs is not permitted.
WHAT IF WE LOSE ONE OF THE DVDs?
Replacement DVDs are available from T. F. Wallace & Company. Contact us for details.
WHY DOESN’T KIT INCLUDE TRAINING EXERCISES?
They’re not necessary for S&OP; the logic and arithmetic are quite simple. The challenge in implementing it successfully is organizational behavior change – changing the way the business is managed – not in understanding the mechanics.
That said, there are exercises within the Kit. At the end of each of the 15 main sessions, there are Discussion Points drawn from the material just covered. These lead the groups viewing the sessions into discussions of how their company will use S&OP.
WHO SHOULD VIEW THE KIT?
Anyone who will be “hands on” with the process. That includes executives, managers, and specialists such as forecast analysts, financial people, and production planners.
CAN WE USE THE KIT FOR TOP MANAGEMENT?
Absolutely. Disc #5 is titled “The Executive S&OP Briefing” and is intended specifically for top management. It is substantially smaller than the Main Library and serves as an executive summary. Top Management people simply don’t need all of the detail that most others do.
Also, during the implementation, you may wish to have your executive team view some other parts of the Kit: examples would be risk management, financial planning, and scenario planning among perhaps others.
